FCI Employees Association (CITU) extend full support to the nation’s efforts to ensure peace, security, and sovereignty.

 Comrades,

We wish to inform you that the Trade Union Election scrutiny process of FCI Employees Association (CITU) at FCI Headquarters, New Delhi, was successfully completed yesterday (08-05-25). Our documents were duly verified by the Chief Returning Officer, and we thank all comrades who contributed to this important organizational task.
Following the process, our North Zone Secretary, Comrade Omvir Singh, and I discussed the current situation of FCI employees and laborers, especially those in the Jammu & Kashmir, PUNJAB, Rajasthan & Gujarat region. We express our deep concern for their safety. It is heartening to note that, with the unwavering support of the Indian Army, all our comrades in the region are safe.
During my return journey to Kerala, I experienced delays due to operational reasons and heard temporary airport closures prompted by escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. However, I reached home safely. These recent incidents—including drone and missile attacks on Indian cities—are grave provocations. However, we take immense pride in the swift and decisive action of our brave Indian Armed Forces, who successfully neutralized all hostile attempts.
In this challenging time, we stand firmly behind the Union Government and the Indian Army. We call upon all members of the FCI Employees Association (CITU) to extend full support to the nation’s efforts to ensure peace, security, and sovereignty.

41st Formation Day of the FCI Employees Association (CITU)

Today marks the 41st Formation Day of the FCI Employees Association (CITU), a milestone in our continued journey of collective struggle, solidarity, and achievement. Registered on 3rd May 1984, our Association has stood firm for the rights and welfare of FCI employees, upholding the principles of unity, justice, and workers' dignity.

Over the decades, we have carried out numerous struggles and agitations — not just for our immediate rights but for the long-term strength and stability of our organization and its workers. One of the landmark victories of our Association was the implementation of the FCI Pension Scheme, which was achieved only after sustained and determined efforts in the face of resistance from both the management and the Ministry.
Similarly, our persistent fight led to a historic exemption from the affordability clause during the 2017 Wage Revision, securing a just and fair revision for all FCI employees. We also played a crucial role in the settlement of long-pending subsidy claims of FCI by effectively intervening at the Ministry level with the support of committed and supportive Parliamentarians.
In today’s challenging times, where privatisation threats loom large, we reaffirm our commitment to continue the fight to safeguard FCI as a public sector entity, uphold the rights of our employees, and ensure a secure and equitable working environment for all.
Let us commemorate this day not just as a celebration, but as a renewal of our pledge — to stand together, struggle together, and achieve together for the betterment of all FCI employees and the future of our organisation.
Long Live Workers’ Unity..Long Live FCI Employees Association (CITU)..

Yours fraternally
