EMPLOYEES PROTEST AGAINST INHUMAN BEHAVIOR OF FCI MANAGEMENT

Comrades, all you well aware that FCI employees have put their tremendous efforts into ensuring an uninterrupted supply of food grains especially during lock down period of this COVID pandemic. Honorable union ministers, all most all state ministers, and medias also appreciated the hard work of FCI employees. But, now the FCI management instead of appreciating the efforts of FCI employees, came with inhuman, and illegal, disciplinary actions in the name of operational losses, which was happened while carrying out such heavy work in the lock down period. Further, it also informs you that many applications seeking appointments under compassionate quota is still pending with FCI Management. Another important issue is that the employees who worked tirelessly 24*7 in lock down period not received payment towards their over time claims. Because of such inhuman, repeat inhuman attitudes of FCI management, we decided to express our protest. As a token of protest, we issued a protest notice to CMD and decided to hold a peaceful protest meeting on 31-3-2021 at Kerala. Considering the intensity of movement and the Deputy labour commissioner has intervened in this issue, and issued notice to CMD of FCI Head Quarters for conciliation meeting, which is scheduled on 30-3-21. However, we decided to move forward with our protest without any prejudice and till any developments on our chartered genuine demands. We appeal before the entire working class, to come forward to express solidarity with this trade union movement. Your support is our strength, and our strength is for your welfare. Red salute comrades..

Opinion Poll Says- Boycott of FCI golden jubilee celebrations was a historical blunder

Dear Comrades., Majority of the FCI Employees expressed their opinion that boycott of FCI golden jubilee celebrations was a historical blunder. Nothing have achieved as part of FCI golden jubilee boycott in 2014. Instead such boycott has collapsed our organisation. It has created a bad image in public about our organisation. In 2019 The same leadership again compelled many category III&IV Employees to boycott IR. Unfortunately some of them became part of their illogical campaign. At the same time many employees got wage revision interim relief (IR) with arrears because of our right direction. Senior employees got approx 50,000 as arrears and others got 25000 approx as arrears and 10 % of basic pay added to their current salary. It also came to notice that non unionised category II officers who are drawn their revised salary with arrears for the sake of their union politics threatened many category Iii & Iv Employees to boycott IR. The leadership of BKNK Sangh was compelled and written to the union Minister that the majority of their members are decided to boycott golden jubilee Celebrations of Food Corporation of India during 2014. Further it was proved that the decision of their leadership was illogical.
These one trade one union leaders Un democratic approach towards trade unions and underground dealings with management collapsed our organisation as well as the future of FCI Employees.
Since these retired and non unionised leaders being in power we cannot achieve best benefits for category III &Iv Employees. Therefore we request the young employees utilize the upcoming trade union election to cast their vote for a change. Already management started issuing ID card if any body don't have FCI ID card apply for it at the earliest. Your vote is for your future. Remember it.

FCI EMPLOYEES HELD A MASSIVE ALL INDIA PROTEST AGAINST NON IMPLEMENTATION OF WAGE REVISION- Dr.A SAMPATH MP ALL INDIA PRESIDENT OF FCI EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION INAUGURATED

     Dear Comrades,

FCI Employees Association (CITU) Congratulates and salute the entire working class of Food Corporation of India for the unprecedented and historic All India Protest on May 11 against non-Implementation of wage revision in respect of Category III & IV employees. Dr. A Sampath MP inaugurated the All India Protest at Regional Office, Trivandrum, Kerala. The FCI Employees across the country irrespective of caste, cadre & union affiliation has observed protest at their respective places. The unprecedented response to the protest reflects the anger and resentment of employees against the inordinate delay and uncertainty of wage revision. It reflects the anger at ignoring their basic demands that were being raised since last several years. The employees while addressing protest meeting also expressed serious concern about privatization of FCI operations and demanded to save FCI from privatisation. It also reflects the determination of the FCI working class to fight back against the lackadaisical attitude and nefarious design of Government missionaries at the centre to impose slavery on them by delay and denial of their legitimate demands.

The Category III & IV Employees are the pillars of Food Corporation of India which has played an important role in providing food security of the nation. The social security of employees are under serious threat. FCI Category III &IV Employees who joined in the corporation are getting meagre income if we compare other PSUs.

The FCI Employees Association (CITU) extends its gratitude to the massive support and solidarity extended to the protest by FCI employees, retired employees and their dependents. We call upon the working class of FCI to further strengthen the unity at the grass root level and be prepared for more intense struggles if Government including their missionaries like DPE, DFPD & FCI Management has not taken a decision positively at the earliest.

Employees unity Zindabad ..

Red Salute comrades..
Yours Comradely
