Proposal for formation of IT Cadre & to seek willingness to fill up the vacancies from qualified officials of FCI

          The General Secratry of FCI Employees Association CITU to informed the Chairman that,  Implementation of Human Resource Management System (HRMS) in Food Corporation of India is a good step for smooth & transparent administrative functions. At this juncture, Secratry informed that formation of IT cadre in FCI will definitely give a mileage to this project. Also, through IT cadre FCI can ensure successful implementation of this project for long run and it will help to full fill the aims to improve the productivity and efficiency of the FCI.

        In this regard, the union like to draw your kind attention towards the availability of professionally qualified employees in FCI who have qualifications like BCA, BSc Computer Science, B.tec Computer Science, BSc IT , MTech & MCA, etc. Formation of IT cadre will give opportunities if FCI management seeks willingness from suitable employees who are interested to opt for IT cadre.  This will not bring any huge additional financial burden before FCI instead this will ensure smooth and successful implementation of HRMS project and reduce stagnation in-service period of employees. Earlier FCI Hqrs through its circular no EP-01-2011-15 dated 30.6.2011 has given instructions to fill up vacancies of movement cadre by lateral deployment from Depot Cadre. Similarly, after the formation of IT cadre FCI Hqrs can issue instructions for lateral deployment to IT cadre from eligible employees. Our sister organisation FSSA also have IT as a specific cadre. For example, they have IT Assistant, Manager IT  AGM IT &DGM IT etc in their workplace.

       Therefore the union requested FCI Chairman to be kind enough to consider our request for the formation of IT cadre in Food Corporation of India. This step will help the successful implementation of HRMS and improve the productivity and efficiency of the Food Corporation of India.
