Deepest condolences to the bereaved families -General Secretary FCI EA CITU.

Comrades, during the ongoing COVID second wave, many of our Colleagues working in various places of the Food Corporation of India have been infected by the virus. It is heartbreaking that some of our colleagues lost their life due to COVID. On behalf of the FCI employees Association (CITU), we express our deepest condolences to the bereaved families with this sad turn of events. Under the prevailing circumstances it is easy to be overwhelmed by feelings of disruption, fear, discomfort and alienation but let us remember that the food security of our country is in our hands. We are once again on a battlefield for ensuring an uninterrupted supply of food grains in the second wave of this Covid pandemic. We must ensure the food security of our nation on this need of the hour. We are sure that the performance of food warriors will be marked in history with golden lines. Being one of you I am also happy and proud to perform the duties in the field despite many hardships. We can reduce the casualties if we cooperate and observe the necessary restrictions and health protocols. Also please take care and adhere to all the precautionary measures during this period.

Yours fraternally
