When the Government of India issued an order to freeze DA, our union was the first in FCI to oppose this unjust decision

At FCI Employees Association (CITU), we have always prioritized the welfare and rights of employees. Today, we take a moment to remind everyone of our historic intervention against the freezing of Dearness Allowance (DA) during the 2021 pandemic.

When the Government of India issued an order to freeze DA, our union was the first in FCI to oppose this unjust decision. Recognizing the financial hardship it would impose on employees, we immediately took up the matter with the concerned ministry. Our timely and determined efforts forced the Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises to direct the Department of Food & Public Distribution (DFPD) for necessary action.
