Significant win for ex service men to avail FCI Medical Facilities

 Dear comrades,

We are pleased to share a significant achievement in our ongoing efforts to protect the rights and benefits of Ex-servicemen within FCI. Your collective voice and unwavering support have led to a positive outcome.

As many of you are aware, there was a circular, Circular no EP-12-2022-11 dated 10.05.2022, which required Ex-servicemen to surrender their ECHS cards and submit an affidavit stating that they would not avail medical facilities from ECHS during their service period with FCI. We believe that this condition was arbitrary and against the principles of natural justice.

We submitted our strong protest against the implementation of this circular. Our collective efforts paid off, and we are happy to announce that the FCI Management has taken our concerns into account. As a result, they have decided to withdraw the condition mentioned in the Circular no EP-12-2022-11 dated 10-5-22.

This is a significant win for our Ex-servicemen members as it ensures that you can continue to avail benefits from both the ECHS and FCI's contributory health scheme. The right to access medical benefits under both schemes is now preserved.

We extend our gratitude to all of you who supported this cause and made our collective voice heard.

Yours fraternally

Gibin Varghese

General Secretary

FCI Employees Association (CITU)
