Dear comrades, On 16-6-24, a significant joint convention was held at KSTA Hall, Ernakulam, where members and office bearers of the FCI Employees Association (CITU), FCIE&REWA, FCI Officers Association, and SC/ST Welfare Association came together to discuss the crucial issue of implementing Regulation 82 for promotions in the Food Corporation of India (FCI). The convention witnessed robust participation, and after thorough deliberations, a committee was formed to oversee the execution of this regulation. The resolution passed at the meeting firmly calls for the immediate implementation of Regulation 82, in strict compliance with the Kerala High Court and Supreme Court verdicts. This decision marks a pivotal step towards ensuring fair and just promotions for all eligible FCI employees, thereby upholding the judicial mandates and enhancing employee welfare.

In a moment of recognition, the meeting facilitated Shri K. R. Pushpadharan for his unwavering dedication and long legal battle, which culminated in a favorable verdict for the employees. His tireless efforts were acknowledged and celebrated by all attendees, highlighting the importance of steadfast advocacy for employee rights. The details of the newly formed committee and the comprehensive resolution will be communicated in due course.
The convention was hailed as a grand success, reflecting the unity and determination of the participating associations to fight for the rights and benefits of FCI employees. The overwhelming support and collaborative spirit showcased at the meeting signify a strong commitment to pursuing this cause diligently. We express our gratitude to all the participants and look forward to their continued support in our collective effort to achieve justice and fairness in FCI promotions.
Yours fraternally
 Gibin Varghese
