(24-01-25)Dear Comrades,
It gives us immense pride and satisfaction to share a significant achievement for the employees of FCI. Following our consistent efforts and the persistent persuasion by the FCI Employees Association (CITU), management has finally acknowledged the need for a balanced and supportive approach to address the issues faced by women employees and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).
Through our formal representation to the Chairman and Managing Director (C&MD) of FCI on 10-10-2023, we emphasized the urgent need for women-conducive transfer policy guidelines. Recognizing the merit of our demands, management has issued instructions to ensure a fair, balanced, and empathetic approach in planning transfers and postings, in line with the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) guidelines on the subject.
This decision marks a critical step toward creating a more inclusive, supportive, and employee-friendly environment in FCI. Women employees and PwBD colleagues will now experience enhanced consideration of their personal and professional needs, making their contributions to FCI more seamless and valued.
This achievement is a testament to the collective efforts, unity, and determination of our union in safeguarding and advocating for the rights and welfare of all employees. We thank all members for their unwavering support in this journey.
Yours fraternally
Gibin Varghese
