Implementation of Staff Regulation 82 - A A Rahim MP's Intervention

 (14-1-25)The Central Committee of the FCI Employees Association (CITU) extends its heartfelt gratitude to Comrade A. A. Rahim, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), for his timely intervention regarding the non-implementation of Staff Regulation 82, which mandates the provision of two increments upon promotion. Recognizing the critical importance of this issue affecting the morale and welfare of FCI employees, the Association approached Comrade A. A. Rahim with an urgent appeal for action. He graciously acknowledged our concerns and promptly took up the matter with the Hon’ble Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Shri Pralhad Joshi. The issue of Regulation 82 is vital to ensuring fair compensation and recognition for the hard work and dedication of FCI employees. The Association urges the Ministry to resolve this matter swiftly and favorably, ensuring justice and rightful benefits for all affected staff. The FCI Employees Association (CITU) reiterates its commitment to upholding the rights of its members and extends its gratitude to all individuals and leaders involved in this important effort.

Meeting With Shri. Ashutosh Agnihotri, IAS ,Chairman and Managing Director (C&MD) of FCI

 (10-1-25)Dear comrades, The Food Corporation of India Employees Association (CITU) is pleased to inform that a delegation consisting of Central Committee Members—Shri A.J. Roy, Shri Antony Roy P.J., and Shri A.N. Lali—led by our General Secretary, Shri Gibin Varghese, met the newly appointed Shri. Ashutosh Agnihotri, IAS ,Chairman and Managing Director (C&MD) of FCI at Kochi today.

On behalf of the Association, the delegation extended a warm welcome to the Hon’ble C&MD on assuming his new responsibilities.During the meeting, a memorandum highlighting various staff welfare issues was formally handed over to him.The Hon’ble C&MD expressed his sincere gratitude and assured the delegation that all the concerns raised in the memorandum would be looked into positively and addressed in a timely manner.The Association reaffirms its commitment to the welfare of all FCI employees and will continue to engage in constructive dialogue with the management to ensure that employee rights and well-being remain a top priority.

Meeting With Executive Director (South)

(10-1-25) Dear comrades, A delegation of the FCI Employees Association (CITU) consisting its central committee members Com A J Roy , Antony Roy P J, Com A N Lali led by General Secretary com Gibin Varghese met Smt. Jacintha Lazarus, Executive Director (South), today to extend their warm welcome on behalf of the association. During the meeting, the delegation handed over a memorandum highlighting key concerns and specifically requested the immediate release of compassionate appointments in Category III and IV. The association emphasized the need for swift action to address the long-pending cases, which would provide much-needed relief to the affected families and uphold the organization's commitment to employee welfare. ED assured that she will intervene to ensure to release appointments.
